Highlights

Stay in a fantastic home or in the typical trulli with large garden and swimming pool in Salento, Apulia, land of sun and sea. Endless countryside scattered with centuries old olive trees, baroque cities and white washed towns. Bursting with local tradition, the ultimate food lovers’ paradise!

Description

Experience a private cooking class, visit a local vineyard and olive oil producer, get stuck in with local traditions, cycle through the open countryside along the beautiful Ionian coast.

Italian food is so much more than rich gelato, hearty pastas and savoury pizzas (though those are great, too). A cooking holiday in Italy, in the Apulia region, will draw you into the depths of south Italian flavours and the complexity of the dishes – and likewise the culture – proving why Italian food is the most-copied cuisine in the world.

An Italian cooking experience holiday will help you to expand your knowledge of flavour combinations and allow your creativity to flourish. Get to understand the elements of local Italian ingredients and be daring and bold with them, and – most importantly – share stories and a glass of wine with other passionate cooks over a meal you’ve prepared together.

You’ll learn new techniques and skills, while creating recipes traditional to the region using fresh, seasonal ingredients and meet new people, making cooking trips to Italy perfect for singles.
Italian food is simple but tasty and the recipes you’ll learn are ones you can bring home and create in your own kitchen with ingredients that can be found anywhere.

Our cooking holidays in Italy are relaxed, fun and hands-on. They take place in the kitchen of the Dimora, with everyone working in a group with the chef. As we only take small groups everyone can really get involved and our local chefs are very passionate about cooking and sharing their knowledge.

You could combine your Italian cooking holiday with another hobby, to really make the most of this outstanding country to visit, by heading to Lecce, Otranto, Gallipoli or Santa Maria di Leuca for gorgeous walks and to visit Salento with its splendid coast from the Ionian Sea to the Adriatic Sea
