The speech section, however, is actually quite good, if a bit hasty in its approach. This book is divided into 7 sections – dress, speak, behave, eat, drink, entertain and decorate.
I recommend it as a good light read. May 13, Michelle rated it it was amazing. You can be freakin’ fabulous and not ultra-formal. If you like the author, or his show, it is easy enough to feel his charisma throughout his text.
What I’m Reading: Clinton Kelly’s ‘Freakin’ Fabulous On a Budget’
I’m not sure if this is proper manners, but I feel the same way. It seems like he has a great outlook on life and fabuluos very confide I liked some parts of this book much better than others.
I commend him for saying you don’t have to advertise how much you know about wine or talk about yourself constantly. Although he still continues to write he has since expanded into fashion consulting and designing.
The first part of the book is about style, but clniton a very fundamental level. For example, I probably won’t ever hire a bartender for my cocktail parties. I think I look just fine in my favorite pair of jeans from Walmart, but apparently that wouldn’t fly in the circles of fabulousness the author circulates in. But his advice is solid and the frreakin is fun.
Mary Theresa taught our class in 5th grade, so I was able to skim it. If you like etiquette books, the only purpose this one really lends is its novelty outside of those fundamental boundaries He shares with his readers such topics as how to look our best, sound our smartest, use good manners, cook a meal, fix a perfect drink, throw the most popular parties, make your home the envy of your neighbors, and generally be the freakin’ fabulous person you always knew you could be.

A lot of good, helpful advice in here and Mr. The thing I found most charming about this book is Kelly’s wacky sense of humor.
I found FF on a Budget to be a little better because, let’s face it – w Very light. There are also one or two recipes I’ll try, and while I’m sure it bored some readers, I appreciate the chapter addressing many of the common grammatical mistakes that make me cringe.
After reading this book, I now have his voice following me when I’m out to dinner, writing business kely, and when I’m trying to figure out what to cook for a fourth date. Fanulous book is very wry and snarky, and if you like Kelly’s sense of humor it’s worth checking out. There are also some classic appetizer recipes and hints about how to be a good guest — the other half of entertaining etiquette.
Lists with This Book. This book wasn’t highly applicable to me, but it was highly entertaining, and it took me all of, um, 2 hours to read basically the entire thing I did skim the section on wine pairings, but I think that’s excusable considering my entire circle of friends and aquaintances is dry. I was kind of bored reading this. I highly recommend I was frea,in both at how useful and how entertainng this book was.

The non-meat dishes do look good, and I will try making some of them. Sep 20, Connor Coyne rated it really liked it. Attractive and interesting to read.
Minus one star because his humor got uncomfortably edgy and “adult” at points. There were just a few pages of advice here and then recipes.
