Excited to read more! Both are young, beautiful, with big hearts but so afraid to believe in true happiness and togetherness. OK, so I’m going to start off with the positives: It got better as the book went on kinda but the first bit was afflited thing! They put their religion—not God, but religion—ahead of their children. The men had a real bond and a way of bringing out the honest and vulnerable side in each other. The constant describing of all the senses and smells took over the actual character development.
Things we take for granted as “sightlings”, had to be written from such a different perspective smell, touch, sound that it I almost wished I could have read this book with my eyes closed! Thanks for the friend invite and sorry about the delay in accepting. I missed the zhire on BOTH hetero jokes!
In this installment, I was immediately wrapped in Hunter’s descriptive thoughts, specifically Dillon’s scent. The steamy attraction is direct and they have a hot encounter.
But fear has a way of creeping up and dismantling things that we hold precious.

Hunter Stephens — Strong, sexy and fiercely masculine, Hunter is not what I expected in a blind main character. Haven’t had a personal photo taken in The use of his other senses to make up for lack of visual cues that “sightlings” are blessed with makes descriptions so much more detailed.
As an adult, Hunter therefore partially broken with the overprotective mother and he now lives alone in the larger city. That was the hottest scene right after the close your eyes scene. But first and foremost you can feel love and by doing that you don’t need your eyesight.
I love how he gives a unique, audibly different voice to each of his characters and how the dialogues settle those voices in interactions that made me smile and laugh and could reveal a world of pain in a heartbeat. Hunter is a 30 yr old man who has managed to be successful in his profession and very independent, I wouldn’t say despite his blindness but because of it.
He met two people that changed his life, but he has never met anyone who could break his heart. Additionally, Margie has a new love interest, which is good!
